After months of heavy fabrics and oversized coats, spring was a welcome change with its lighter layers and softer color palettes. It’s the kind of change of season that makes dressing fun again and has rekindled my love for my clothes. However, I will admit that I may have jumped the gun a bit and have already stocked up on my winter clothes, despite the unpredictable English weather.
Although it may feel premature, I am already looking forward to summer and planning my wardrobe in mind. Summer brings a more relaxed style of dressing. Think linens, floaty dresses, poplin skirts and strappy sandals, and now that we’re in April, they all finally feel a long way off.
Read on to find five summer outfit ideas for 2026 that I’ve already bookmarked.
Top Summer Outfits to Bookmark Now:
1. Oversized Shirt + Denim Shorts + Ballet Flats
Style Notes: The white shirt is one of those basic “capsule” pieces that everyone has in their wardrobe, one of the most basic pieces for a long time. When it comes to summer, I tend to choose a linen shirt over cotton. Paired with short denim to give a casual look.
