Euphoria’s Makeup Looks Are Officially Complete in “Feral” Season Three

With more than four years since the end of its second season and a five-year jump in the storyline, it is not surprising that. Euphoria’s trendsetting makeup has also undergone some change.

Euphoria indeed, it is best known for its high-end, bedazzled look. Although there are rumors that the show may have a retro look after it premiered, Davy is down on the fact that the makeup in season three is going “feral,” with moodier eyeshadow tones, ultra-precise liner, and high-end lip makeup. “The reasons for cosmetics have changed,” says Davy Bazaar. “For the first and second seasons the focus of makeup was self-expression, discovery and experimentation with one’s identity.” The reason for the player to use makeup in the third season is to make a lot of money.”

The first episode of the third season reveals in depth the changing lives of the actors as they become adults after graduation, from managing full-time jobs and marriage to the continued growth of emotions and the value of close friendships. In the first period of EuphoriaDavy explains that the makeup was based on the feeling of electric beauty, dreams, colorful, and neon “dopamine”, while the second period is based on the “experiment” of another kind of sister that has many colors (but without neon) and has small, many experimental details. And in the third season, feral glam has arrived, with a makeup look that’s really beautiful and driven by results, rather than panicked for the sake of self-examination.

“We’ve come out of the dopamine electric dreams of season one, and the experimental part of season two, and we’re doing feral glam,” continued Davy. “A purposeful, unselfish attitude that aims to achieve a very specific result: money, success or fame.” Girls don’t use makeup to express themselves this season in order to find a new side of themselves. This means makeup that looks good, in a traditional, measured way, and although it is often associated with the appearance of a Cis man, there is a different way to make a certain film. an effect that I thought would work well with the visual aesthetic of this season. ” Although she has a basic make-up routine, Davy notes that this season still includes bright colors and glitter because “this is Euphoria, and I’m still in charge of the make-up department!” she explains.

Davy worked closely with Euphoria producer Sam Levinson, hair director Kim Kimble, and costume designer Natasha Newman-Thomas to successfully convey the development of the character of the program as a whole. “I look at the scripts for the actual story and feel; of course, I talk to Sam about the aesthetic or vibe that he thinks will go with the film and the emotional tone of the show,” added the singer. The beauty of the third season moves the game from the glamor of traditional movies to the game and inspired by Y2K, with a little light, the “popstar” looks sprinkled in between, especially considering the events that take place in the Silver Slipper strip club.

“I look at the clothes for color direction, shape and feel, and Kim and I come to the party at the last minute, for the cherry on top,” continues Davy. “We kind of shake and spray our magic. There’s no defined creative process here. There are a lot of scenes and looks in the show, and the shooting schedule and events are always changing. I really improvise and collaborate with the actors on the day, as opposed to planning things in advance.” For season three, Davy and the team relied on a handful of skincare, base, and color makeup staples, including Sofie Pavitt Face Omega Rich Moisturizer, Dieux’s Forever Eye Masks, Suqqu’s foundation and concealer, Chanel’s Les Beiges Healthy Glow Bronzing Cream, Saie’s Magic Halfpursy, Saie’s Magic Glow Sparklestik Eye Crayon and Sculptitude 2-in-1 Lip Liner.

No wonder, most of the Euphoria’s the makeup look is enhanced using essentials from Half Magic Beauty, Davy’s brand launched in 2022 in collaboration with the show’s production company, A24. Now in its fourth year, Half Magic is releasing a new line of makeup on April 29 to celebrate the arrival of Euphoria’s season three: Ulta’s exclusive nine-piece Half Magic x Euphoria collection.
