The Galway Theater Festival will run from 30 April to 9 May, with over 60pc of this year’s program featuring Galway-based actors and performing arts groups. Bellow, from Brokentalkers, is a theatrical piece built around the story of accordionist Danny O’Mahony, and is a collaboration between An Taibhdhearc and Brú Theatre. Meanwhile, Give | Paedin imagines the world of Pádraic Ó Conaire, made in Irish with text, and multi-award winning circus artist Christopher McAuley will bring EXACTLY, picture, to party – personal work tells the story of the unfortunate situation that never interfered, growing up on the streets of post-conflict Belfast.
