Plates taken from vacations, colored glass bottles, shells, stacks of old magazines or simply unattractive refrigerator lights have unique properties that decor cannot replicate. Grouping them together instead of scattering them all around enhances the effect.

Living rooms

The interior is (thankfully) moving away from anything that looks Pinterest-perfect, and instead has a little weakness from things that are slowly being found – a sofa inherited from somewhere, a rug that doesn’t fit well, a lamp chosen for different years and the rest. The mix is deliberate but not fixed, and the whole thing absorbs the impurities of real life with ease.
The color of the decade

Old things forever

Vintage furniture continues to assert its dominance in the design world – and that can only be good news. It’s often used as a neutral, but it doesn’t have to be – sage can go from olive, to rust, to a soft, aquatic peach in a palette, all in one palette.
